What we collect, and why
| Who | What | Why, and on what basis |
|---|---|---|
| Candidates | Name, contact details, CV, career history, skills, salary expectations, notice period, right to work, interview notes, public professional profiles. | To find and approach people for roles that fit them, assess their fit and present them to employers (legitimate interests). We send your details to an employer only after you have agreed to it. |
| Clients and prospects | Business contact details, job title, company, correspondence. | To run searches we are engaged for (contract) and to contact businesses about our services (legitimate interests). |
| Website visitors | What you type in the contact form: name, company, email, role, message. | To answer you (legitimate interests), and nothing else. |
Where the data comes from
From you, from public professional sources such as LinkedIn and company websites, and from people who recommend you to us.
Who we share it with
- Employers recruiting for a role, only with your agreement.
- Licensed partner agencies where local law requires one, for example a placement agency licensed in Switzerland that submits candidates to Swiss employers on our behalf.
- Service providers who process data for us: recruitment software, email, website hosting, scheduling and payment tools. They act on our instructions only.
We never sell personal data, and we never charge candidates.
International transfers
We work mainly in the United Kingdom, the European Union and Switzerland, which recognise each other's data protection standards. When data goes to a recipient in another country, we use the safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Candidates: up to two years after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, and invoices and accounting records for six years, as UK law requires.
- Contact form messages: up to twelve months if no work follows.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit its use, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object at any time to our use of your data, including for direct marketing, and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to contact@featbiz.net; we answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or to the data protection authority of the country where you live or work.
